community news

The Wandi Community Centre has been a registered site for Clean Up Australia (held on the first Sunday in March) since 2010.  Each year volunteers of all ages collect bags of rubbish from our roadside verges.  It is a great way to clean up our neighbourhood, get some exercise and meet old and new residents.

We are grateful for the support provided by the City of Kwinana in collecting our huge pile of rubbish in a timely manner.  The Satterley Property Group has, on several occasions, generously sponsored a coffee van to provide refreshments at the conclusion of our event.

We look forward to meeting some new volunteers in 2022 because, unfortunately, there seems to be more and more rubbish on our road verges.
