Wandi Hall

The Wandi Hall is an ideal venue for larger functions including wedding receptions, dances or birthday parties. Sorry we don't do 18th or 21st birthday parties.

The building includes access to toilets and has a kitchen area towards the rear. There are five entry points one in the kitchen, three in the hall one with disabled access, the fifth is in the meeting room at the back of the kitchen. The hall is licensed for 150 people with 150 chairs and 25 tables. For a dance we recommend between 80 & 100 people with the tables and chairs positioned around the perimeter walls of the hall. The kitchen has a domestic sized fridge, double wall oven, three sinks, microwave oven and urn.

Please contact Debbie on 08 9410 2009 between 9:00am and 7:00pm or leave a message on our CONTACT page.

resource centre

The Wandi Resource Centre has a long history. It used to be a group of classrooms belonging to the Hope Valley Primary School until it was relocated to the Wandi Community Centre and restored by local volunteers.

The Wandi Resource Centre is made up of three classrooms, an amenity room with two sinks, an urn and toilets and the Wandi Landcare office. Two of the classrooms are permanently booked but one is available for hire.

Please contact Debbie on (08) 9410 2009 between 9:00am and 7:00pm or leave a message on the CONTACT page.

the shed

The Wandi Shed is the haven of all our resident wood working clubs. It is constantly being improved to accomodate more groups.

The Wandi Shed is set up as an industrial work area to allow the use of lathes and other heavy machinery. There is an area to make cuppas and snacks, an outdoor section to relax and chat with a free BBQ, the toilets are in the Wandi Resource Centre which is situated across from the building.

For more information, please call Debbie on (08) 9410 2009 between 9:00am and 7:00pm or leave a message on our CONTACT page below.

the club rooms

The Wandi Clubrooms are an ideal location for your next smaller function, situated next to both play areas; a variety of clubs also use this building.

The Wandi Clubrooms are made up of two separate rooms and can be hired on a regular basis for your club or group. There is an urn and sink area as well as tables and chairs at your disposal. This area is ideal for children's parties being adjacent to the playground which is completely fenced for your child's security.

wandi tennis courts

There are two hard court Tennis Courts at the Wandi Community Centre. The courts are kept locked and are available for hire at a very reasonable rate. The cost is $5 per hour. Yearly memberships are available at $125 as well. A $20 key bond is required on both hourly and annual memberships.
Please take off the net tension after playing.

To book the tennis courts please phone Debbie (9410 2009) or Ken (93971060) between 9:00am and 5:00pm.

bbq's play areas and more!

The Wandi Community Centre has a free BBQ and two separate play areas for the kids these are always available but may need to be shared if there is a Hall or Club Room booking. The play area is situated in front of the Clubrooms. There are swings and other toddler pastimes enclosed by white sand. The enclosure is covered to protect against the sun. If you have young children and live locally, you may wish to join the Wandi Playgroup.

There are two BBQ and rest areas located at the Wandi Community Centre. They are located next to the Clubrooms / Play area and in from the Wandi Resource Centre. Both are great locations for a family outing.

The Wandi oval is situated next to the Wandi Hall. It is regularly used by medieval and caravaning groups. Set in a rural vista, it is a great place to kick a football and partake in many other outdoor activities.
