GREEN - CORPS 2008 - MAGENUP LAKE
Green - Corps was a project of Green Skill that introduced young people to landcare. The WPA worked closely with Green Skill in the early years taking advice and assistance from their group to manage the Magenup Lake area.
Top left you can see their assistance was offered placing the walk trail signage around Magenup Lake.
Tope right: Help was given to remove introduced plant species on the lake area, in this case it was a Acacia that is an out of area species that would have seeded and caused so much trouble to the local species.
Above left & right: Green Corps was also involved in tree planting with hundreds of seedlings being planted.
