George Murphy has been turning for around three years.  He is a retired TAFE lecturer, who worked in the electrical and electronic engineering area.  Initially interested in turning spindles for chairs and table legs, he now spends more time turning bowls and platters.

Jim Cameron joined Wandi group in 2007 on his return to WA.   He is a retired university professor, whose specialisation was training teachers.  In this work, he spent a number of years in developmental posts in the Asia-pac region.  Jim is an experienced turner, one of the trainers who introduces new members to the craft.  He turns bowls and spindles but prefers to turn functional items such as small trinket boxes, decorative handles for cutlery, and chess pieces.​

Nico Louw has been turning for around three years. He is a retired teacher, who enjoys turning bowls.    He is at present developing his skills in turning hollow forms, and now finds that he is turning more vases and jugs.

Russell Potter joined Wandi group in the 1990's and has been turning for over 20 years.  He is a retired factory worker and spent his working life in the manufacture of oil drums for industry.  Russell can turn his hand to all kinds of turning, but enjoys turning bowls and vases, and in particular pot pourri bowls.  Russell is an expert finisher, and his work is much admired.

 John Scarfe retired from the RAN after over 42 years service as a naval shipwright.  He joined Wandi in 1997, whilst still serving, and is a highly skilled turner.

​He enjoys turning hollow forms, travel mugs and large platters which he then  embellishes using pyrography.  John's skills were recognised by his peers when he was invited to join Collaboration WA, a group of WA wood artists.  John is one of the group's trainers, and enjoys passing on his skills in turning and woodworking.

Terry Gilbert has been turning for around two years.  He is a retired builder, who found that he needed to find new interests when he stopped working.  Terry enjoys turning bowls and platters and in particular enjoys turning wooden travel mugs.  Terry often collaborates with his wife by turning items which she then embellishes using pyrography.

Ben Attfield-Rutterford is 15 years old and has been turning for about two years. 
​Ben was Wandi group's first junior member, joining just after he turned 14.  Ben is home-schooled, and the meetings he attends are part of his school programme.  Ben enjoys turning bowls and platters, and sells his turned pens and mugs at fairs and open days held in the area.

Ned Attfield-Rutterford is Ben's younger brother, and followed Ben into Wandi group on his 14th birthday.  
​ Like Ben, he is home schooled with turning forming a part of the curriculum.  Ned started turning at home before he was eligible to join Wandi, and enjoys turning bowls and platters as well as the mugs and pens which he also sells.
