MAGENUP EQUESTRIAN CENTRE

The Magenup Equestrian Centre was the first building on this site.  In those early days most Wandi residents were horse owners.  The centre consists of a clubroom, kitchen, storage and toilets.  There are a variety of enclosures for the horses.  The Equestrian Centre is the only one of its kind in the south of WA and is widely recognised as being a regional centre.  There is a sand arena which is open to all comers to use.  There is also a 150m x 100m fully enclosed large arena which is currently under restricted use.

There are several Clubs which use the centre on a regular basis:

  • Wandi Pony Club
  • Dressage Club of WA
  • Canning Districts Riding Club
  • Natural Horseplayers
  • Magenup Adult Riders Group
There is a Management Committee, made up from these clubs, and they oversee the general day to day running of the centre. The sand arena can be booked for private use and also the clubrooms are available.

The President is Pam Nelson (9397 0962) who is in charge of bookings and general upkeep.
